| | Calgary Reads "The Big Book Sale" was held at the Calgary Curling Club from May 8-17. The Big Book Sale is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Calgary Downtown and members of the Rotary Club of Calgary East volunteered on May 9th. A total of 1,200 volunteers donated over 16,000 hours to the event. 200,000 books were sold to 15,000 readers and the event raised $584,000 to help kids read. |
