Mary and Steve Turner from the Rotary Club of Olds and John Fortunka from the Rotary Club of Okotoks were guest speakers at our meeting on December 14. They gave a presentation on the Los Amigos project which has delivered 60 decommissioned emergency and service vehicles to Mexico over the last 13 years. In September, 2024, Rotarians will leave Alberta with four firetrucks and four handi-vans. The project is looking for 16 drivers and $64,000 to cover the project costs. |
